The UAE Has Announced New Entry & Residency Rules

Earlier this year, the UAE announced new Entry and residency rules. These new rules have extended the category of beneficiaries of these new policies. You will be happy to know that new visas do not need a host or sponsor, and it also offers you more flexibility with multiple entries (60 days validity). Golden Residence Visa

The UAE Golden Visa are now available for investors, entrepreneurs, frontline workers, exceptional talents, students and graduates, scientists and professionals, and humanitarian pioneers. 

The government has these new rules introduced to advance the investment environment and to enhance the success and growth of businesses in the country. New benefits are:

1. 10-year renewable residency visa. 
2. No sponsor or employer is required.
3. Days spent outside the UAE don’t nullify this visa type.
4. Extends to family members inclusive of spouses and children of all ages.
5. No limit on the number of service labourers.
6. In case the original golden visa holder passes away, family members can live in the UAE till the residence permit ends.
7. UAE Entry Permit/ Visa valid for 6 months with multiple entries.

Residency Permits

The residency visas of UAE can be for either 1, 2 or 5 years all depending upon the type. The choice is yours you can choose from Remote Work Residence, Retirement Residence Visa, and Real Estate owner’s Residence. The new addition is that no sponsor is not required for these visas.

The family member visa is however sponsored by the resident towards their spouse and children till the age of 25 and unmarried daughters with no age limit. The green residence holder can also sponsor their first-degree relatives. The duration of stay for the family members’ residence has to be the same as their sponsors.

You can have residence visas for work, investment, education, and living too. There are humanitarian cases which work for obtaining residence permits as well like:

1. The female resident had her husband pass away and has a child or more.
2. Parents or children of UAE citizens having the foreign passport.
3. Spouses of UAE citizens who have foreign passports.

Residence work permits can be for 5 years without a sponsor or employer. The standard residence permit however is for 2 years. Dubai investor visa on the other hand is for investors and has a 5 years permit, called green residence for investors & partners. Residence permits for students enrolled in Educational institutions are renewable every 2 years,
